2021 has been an interesting year: challenging in many respects, but also very exciting for me and our business.
Last year we all had to come to grips with a world that has changed because of the pandemic. This year it became clear that COVID-19 was still very much with us, and we had to keep adapting to new ways of living.
Fortunately, there have been positive signs too and at least we can now see a glimmer of hope of more freedoms and a return to a pre-COVID world.
For us at Siniat it’s been a very exciting year. After the purchase of our business early this year by the Etex Group, we have rebranded our products and services to Siniat.
Siniat is one of the Etex Group’s flagship commercial brands, and one of the leading global manufacturers of interior and exterior materials for drywall construction. It has been very exciting to introduce the brand to the Australian market.
We were delighted to find that our business values and purpose aligned perfectly with those of the global Etex Group. It became clear early on that we shared the same commitment to quality products, customer service, innovation and sustainability.
I wish to thank you for your support during this transition.
The Etex Group published its first Sustainability Report in October, reflecting the same vision for the future we have been building on for years.
This year Siniat Australia continued building on its sustainability offering and we can now proudly offer you our carbon neutral opt-in program, certified by Climate Active, on a wide range of locally made plasterboard and metal products. Architects can simply specify Siniat carbon neutral products to minimise the carbon footprint of their next project on the environment. Find out more here.
We regard our sustainability efforts as a continuous improvement project and will continue to develop strategies to improve our offering in this regard.
The change to Siniat provided an opportunity to review our existing product range. Our standard plasterboard and metal product lines did not change as a result of the sale, and we have made improvements to our compound range. We are also looking forward to introducing our new perforated acoustic range to you in the very near future.
As our products and systems have not changed, neither has our Warranty offer which remains valid for our complete wall and ceiling systems that are installed in accordance with our recommendations, both pre and post the rebrand.
In many ways 2021 has taught me personally that nothing can be achieved in isolation. We might have been separated physically due to COVID restrictions, but I heavily relied on my team to ensure a smooth transition to Siniat. They all worked very hard, and I cannot be any prouder of my Teammates.
It is in the same spirit of collaboration that I want to invite you to talk to us to achieve the best possible outcome for your next project. Our technical team is always available to work with you on achieving the best solution, and the customer service team is available to assist you with any enquiries you might have.
We end 2021 with many unprecedented challenges and product shortages in the construction industry, but my team and I will do our best to assist you in any way we can.
May you and your family have a safe and wonderful Christmas, and I am looking forward to collaborating with you in 2022!
