Triple ISO Certification for Etex Australia plants

Etex Australia’s Altona, Matraville, Beenleigh and Bundaberg manufacturing and distribution facilities are certified to the most current versions of the ISO management system standards for Health & Safety, Quality and Environmental Management. Etex Australia is the manufacturer of Siniat products in Australia.

The management systems at these plants are certified to ISO 9001 for quality management systems, ISO 14001 certification for environmental management systems and ISO 45001 certification for health & safety management systems.

The certification process involves an external auditor, SAI Global, and auditing on site. “The auditor independently assesses our organisation against the criteria of the standards,” explained Kathryn Walker, Etex Regional WHS and Sustainability Manager (APAC). “Certification actions are ongoing with regular surveillance audits every year by the independent auditor.”

“We are proud to be the first in the gypsum industry in Australia to achieve a triple certification for our manufacturing operations,” said Etex Building Performance Regional Head (APAC) Gavin Burton.

“Being certified to these standards provides our customers with the peace of mind that our plants provide quality products, minimise harmful effects on the environment caused by its activities and support and promote good Health & Safety practices, in balance with socio-economic needs,” Gavin said.

"These certifications support us in attaining our business goals – in being our customers’ best supplier, in ensuring we all go home safe every day, and that in everything we do we keep the environment and society in mind.”
