Applications:

• Jointing must not be conducted until all ceiling services and access panels are installed in the ceiling, otherwise the excessive vibration may cause joint cracking or peaking.
• Use a wet brush to clean dust from joints after fixing the boards.
• Prime site cut edges with a PVA based primer (ie: one part of Bondcrete to four parts water). For improved jointing compound adhesion, factory V edge joints can also be primed.
• Pour the required amount of clean tap water into a container. Add the powder into water, mixing continuously to a smooth, thick consistency. Soaking is not recommended.
• Only mix enough jointing compound to be used in 45 minutes and do not contaminate with previously mixed batches. Once the material starts to set it cannot be remixed.
• Slightly overfill joints with Siniat Set jointing compound and allow to dry. It is recommended to use a sausage caulking gun.
• After allowing to dry (approximately 1 hour depending on weather conditions), scrape off excess jointing compound to level the joint.
• Use Mastalite, Mastaglide, or Mastaline for finishing joints and screw heads. Sand if necessary.
• Do not obstruct perforations during jointing.
