Acoustic Stud Wall Framing Systems

The Siniat Acoustic Stud System is designed for the fixing of Siniat plasterboard to both sides of the stud as opposed to a staggered stud system where plasterboard is fixed to only one side of the stud. The benefit is that it allows for increased wall heights.

Being simpler to install it has reduced construction costs compared to a staggered stud system, providing similar performance while reducing the number of studs required. In comparative tests conducted by the CSIRO, the Rw rating was increased by 5 and the Rw+Ctr improved by the same.

The Acoustic Stud System was tested with various configurations and plasterboard types and results up to Rw60 were achieved.
