A full year after our business had been purchased by the Etex Group, a delegation of senior Etex executives finally visited Australia to meet local teammates, see the different manufacturing plants and visit the sites of some key projects.
The overseas delegation consisted of Neil Ash (Head of Etex Building Performance), Jean Louis Bernard (Head of Division Finance & APAC Region), Christophe David (Chief Manufacturing Officer) and Nicolas Cauderlier (Head of Operations MEA/APAC).
“We’ve eagerly anticipated seeing the Australian business and meeting the teammates Down Under for many months, and our recent visit didn’t disappoint!” said Neil Ash, adding that it was good to meet the local teams.
“We were honoured to join Etex Kitchen at many of the plants during our visit. Our Australian teammates usually have Etex Kitchen once a month and it is an opportunity for everyone to enjoy lunch together and catch up in the true spirit of our company value Connect and Care,” he said.
Gavin Burton, Managing Director of Etex Australia (Siniat), said he had been looking forward to welcoming Etex teammates to Australia for many months.
“It’s certainly unusual and challenging to go through an acquisition with strict border closures in place, but thanks to everyone’s hard work and the lifting of COVID-19 restrictions, we could finally show our visitors our fully Etex branded plants where Siniat products are proudly manufactured for the Australian market.”
Neil said it was encouraging to see how everyone has embraced the Siniat and Etex brands. “It wasn’t easy to purchase a business and integrate a full team during a global pandemic, but we are very proud of what has been achieved. I see great areas to develop the business especially on sustainability, commercial performance and customer centricity.”
“I hope that we can soon welcome more teammates from abroad to our business.” Gavin added.
