Let's build a better future together
It is true that the construction, maintenance and demolition of buildings have a significant impact on the environment and society, but buildings can also be a big part of the solution. At Siniat we believe that collaboration between suppliers and manufacturers is key to minimising the impact on people and the environment. We work collaboratively with our customers from design and specification through to project delivery, end-of-life and recovery.
The Opt2Act® Carbon Neutral Program
In line with our philosophy that “radical collaboration” is what is required to make a difference in the industry, we developed the Siniat Opt-in Carbon Neutral Program to assist all stakeholders to achieve their ever-tightening sustainability goals.
This program, certified by Climate Active, is available on a wide range of locally plasterboard and metal products.
Environmental Product Declarations for Siniat Plasterboard and Metal
As part of our commitment to being a responsible and sustainable manufacturer, we have Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) available for our plasterboard and metal products. The EPD's are registered with EPD Australasia.
EPDs registered with EPD Australasia are based on ISO standard 14025 and the rules of the International EPD® System, assuring international acceptability. The GBCA recognises that EPDs may be used by project teams using the Design & As Built and Interiors rating tools to obtain Green Star points.
GreenTag certified products
Products with a GreenTag certification can result in a significant time saving for architects, designers and builders when selecting sustainable products, and drastically reduce their legal and professional indemnity risk. A wide range of Siniat's plasterboard products are certified GreenRate Level A under the GreenTag scheme.
The Road to Sustainability 2030
The Siniat sustainability strategy is backed by the Etex Group, who has laid a solid foundation to become a more sustainable organisation.
Along with the publication of the Etex Group’s 2021 Sustainability report, it also announced its “Road to Sustainability 2030” strategy.
The Road to Sustainability 2030 sets clear ambitions for the next eight years across these five priority areas: Health, safety and well-being, customer engagement, Diversity, equity and inclusion, decarbonisation and circularity.
